Andreas is a research associate at the Socio-Economic Marine Research Unit (SEMRU), National University of Ireland, Galway. His research is focused on the valuation of the impact of marine policy changes on the Irish marine sector and its wider socio-economic impacts at the national level. Other research activities include productivity measurement of Irish and Spanish ports, as well the assessment of the environmental impact of Irish seafood value chains. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Agricultural Sciences from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece), an MSc in Environmental Economics and Policy from Wageningen University (Netherlands), and a PhD in Food and Agribusiness Management from University College Dublin. Before joining SEMRU, Andreas was an assistant lecturer in macroeconomics at the Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology and a Walsh Fellow in Teagasc (Agriculture and Food Development Authority).
