This workshop focuses on the Medical Device sector and is aimed specifically at those involved in managing a business unit or functional area such as R&D, Finance, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Commercial, etc. The purpose of the workshop is to examine the challenges for organisations of combining innovation that exploits current capabilities (incremental innovation) with innovation that explores new capabilities (radical innovation). Event details  
At the workshop, Breda and Emer will examine the challenges for organisations of combining innovation that exploits current capabilities (incremental innovation) with innovation that explores new capabilities (radical innovation). Insights from studies of the medical device and other innovative industries will be reported, addressing issues such as:

• What KPIs are used to manage innovation
• How performance metrics increase momentum for incremental innovation
• The importance of making radical innovation visible to prevent crowding out
• The conscious combination of opposites and generation of healthy conflict and tension between radical and incremental innovation

This will be followed by an interactive panel discussion sharing experiences, exploring challenges and questioning assumptions around nurturing ambidexterity in organisations.
