Event Navigation

Every firm and organization today is trying to become more innovative. Current interest centers around “open innovation” — identifying, accessing, and incorporating external resources into the firm’s innovation processes. In practice, open innovation tends not to be fully open. It is instead deliberately focused on external resources that will be most useful to the firm. This presentation will explore the major manifestations of open innovation, including well-known examples such as InnoCentive, Procter & Gamble’s Connect and Develop Program, and LEGO’s user-driven approaches as well as recent research based on a collaborative community of firms named Blade.org.
