Event Navigation
Approximately one third to one half of people do not take evidence based medical treatments as prescribed. Therefore many treatments that we know work well currently have limited effectiveness because of non-adherence. This is a major healthcare challenge that has the potential to be solved at least in part by better application of behavioural science in healthcare research and practice. The presentation will outline key theoretical, methodological and intervention approaches to address the problems of non-adherence to treatment and will consider to what extent innovations in digital health (e.g. eHealth and mHealth) can contribute to solving the problem of non-adherence.
This seminar is one of a series of seminars in the Whitaker Ideas Forum seminar series. Dr Molloy will be representing the Health & Well-Being Research Cluster.
