Event Navigation

The human rights movement has done a great deal of good in improving the lives of people around the globe, however its embodiment as an ‘ethics of progress’ is increasingly being questioned.  This one-day symposium explores the relationship between human rights and the social sciences, their differences of approach and their mutually complementary roles and features a number of international speakers.  Full details of the programme can be found here.

Conference attendees are invited afterwards to the European premiere of the film It Stays With You: Use of Force by UN Peacekeepers in Haiti, directed by Cahal McLaughlin and Siobhán Wills, funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council followed by a reception.

There is a nominal charge of €5 to cover refreshments and lunch for this event so please RSVP here.

The event will attract 4 CPD points and certificates of attendance will be available.  Please feel free to share this invitation within your organisation and with colleagues.
