An International Conference on “Growth and Crisis, Social Structure of Accumulation Theory and Analysis to be held in Galway at the National University of Ireland, in Galway, Ireland, November 2nd to 4th, 2006. This prestigious conference is the first conference dedicated exclusively to Social Structure of Accumulation Theory and Analysis, and many theorists and researchers in the area have confirmed their attendance.

The academic committee of this conference is composed of Terrence McDonough at NUI Galway, Michael Reich at the University of California, Berkeley, and David Kotz at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst have put together the preliminary conference programme, and the preliminary programme is on our official blog at http://ssagalway.blogspot.com/

Dr McDonough, of the Department of Economics, leads CISC’s project on “Globalisation and long-wave theory” funded by the Irish Research Council for the Humanities and the Social Sciences.
