Dr Lucie Byrne-Davis is a Health Psychologist and Senior Lecturer in Manchester Medical School, University of Manchester, UK. She is lead for psychology in the MBChB programme in Manchester and researches health professional behaviour and particularly the impact of education and training on practice change. She has worked on projects in Uganda and, with Dr Jo Hart, leads a project funded by the Tropical Health and Education Trust with UK Department for International Development and the NHS Global Health Exchange, called The Change Exchange. This project places volunteer Health Psychologists in UK-low-income country Health Partnerships, to work with the partners to understand and influence Health Professional practice. They are currently working in Uganda, Ethiopia, Sierra Leone and Mozambique. She also leads a project assessing the impact of international experience on healthcare professionals and a project to understand and influence health professional practice in the new integrated models of care pilot sites in England.
