The concept of responsibility in Europe and Japan: An analysis of cultural difference

Dr Hirt is part of a Faculty Erasmus exchange between NUI Galway and University of Graz, Austria. He will be teaching students post graduate and undergraduate students in International Human Resource Management and Cross Cultural Management. His presentation at the Whitaker Institute will examine how culture influences perceptions of corporate social responsibility.

Dr Hirt lectures on Personnel Development, Strategic Human Resource Management, General Management, Cross Cultural Management, Globalization and Strategies of Internationalization, Management of Complex Systems, Knowledge Management. Dr Hirt’s research focuses on Cross Cultural Management and Business Ethics and International Human Resource Management. He is fluent in 5 languages: German (native); English; French; Italian; Japanese and is continuing to develop his Hungarian.
