In this talk, some key theory and evidence in relation to medication adherence intervention will be outlined. This will be considered in light of the findings of a current multi-method study on adherence to and uptake of prescription contraception. The discussion will focus on what are the most promising behaviour change approaches to enhance adherence and uptake in this context.
