Event Navigation
The Cairnes School of Business and Economics is hosting the launch of The Synergy Project on Thursday 9th February, from 5:30pm-7:30pm in Friars Cafe. This event will give Masters Students and PhD Candidates across the Cairnes School of Business and Economics the opportunity to share their ideas, issues and uncertainties in an informal manner in the format of poster presentations. Further College events will take place throughout March and a campus-wide University event will take place in April.
Format: All students can access this poster template with a view to getting an A2 poster printed in the Print That facility on the concourse. These posters are subsidised and where you Quote ‘The Synergy Project’ you will pay only 5. Academia across the various disciplines will also be present to provide both assistance and advice in tackling the issues presented, as well as promote research areas they might be involved in. Funding information will also be available and light refreshments will also be served.
About: The Synergy Project offers all postgraduate students a platform to discuss all aspects of present and future research topics in the presence of more experienced Academia, as well as their peers, across disciplines. The Synergy Project provides a forum for promoting academic collaboration within and across disciplines in order to add value and build upon the current practices with a view to enhancing the scope and quality of the research production process. The Synergy project will
· Increase the number of funded research projects
· Inform and assist students on the pathway of progression
· Support Inter-college collaboration
· Promote collegiality
· Disseminate funding opportunities to the wider postgraduate population
· Improve on the current modality of how research is conducted
