Writers Retreat

Do you find it hard to protect time for writing? Do you have a piece of writing that you would like to get finished by the end of the year? Bring your project on a writing retreat and make real progress.

The next retreat will be held in the Connemara Coast Hotel from 10am Monday 2 December to 4pm Wednesday 4 December. Staff members have the option to attend as a day participant (free of charge) or to make the retreat residential (€85/night).

The Whitaker supports a twice-yearly writing retreat, led by Dr Rachel Hilliard. The retreat is of benefit for any staff looking for some dedicated writing time to advance a piece of work for publication, with the advantage of a supportive atmosphere, introduction to effective writing strategies, and good company. It’s the opportunity to preserve writing time and make substantial progress on a piece of writing.
