InterTradeIreland Lecture and Masterclass – The Role of Open Innovation in SMEs

On 25 October, the Whitaker Institute was delighted to host an InterTradeIreland lecture and masterclass titled ‘The Role of Open Innovation in SMEs’ by Professor Nuran Acur from the Adam Smith Business School at the University of Glasgow. The lecture, which had over 70 people registered, explored how companies and start-ups can benefit from open innovation, as well as managing innovation partners and the innovation network. In the masterclass, which was limited to 25 people, Professor Acur took individuals through their specific open innovation challenges and explored pitfalls surrounding collaboration with other businesses/actors.
