Writers’ Development Programme

The Writers’ Development Programme is an initiative run by the Whitaker Institute to support faculty and doctoral students in getting their research ready for publication.

Sixteen PhD candidates and Postdoctoral researchers participated on a 2-day Writers’ retreat in June facilitated by Dr. Patricia McNamara, University of Limerick. This workshop focused on producing quality written work ready for submission and publication and participants had the opportunity to develop a piece of writing.

In April a retreat for staff was organised and facilitated by Dr Rachel Hilliard, Associate Head of Research for the School of Business & Economics and member of the Innovation and Structural Change research cluster. The retreat will run again in early December 2014.
