The impact of Brexit and the US elections on Irish businesses to be discussed by Prof. Alan Ahearne at upcoming CIMA breakfast briefing

This business briefing will discuss how businesses should be preparing to deal with the impact of both Brexit and the US election in the coming years. There has already been considerable volatility in markets and exchange rates in the four months since the UK referendum to leave the EU, and this seems to be the trend for the foreseeable future.  In parallel, the election in the US of Donald Trump has raised concerns for the impact on the FDI sector with its strong linkages to the US.

This event provides a unique opportunity to hear the perspective of leading economist and director of the Whitaker Institute, Professor Alan Ahearne, in a forum that will discuss the concerns of individual businesses in an uncertain climate.

The CIMA breakfast briefing will be held from 7.30am to 9.00am in Galway’s Clayton Hotel on Wednesday 30th November. Attendance is free but pre-registration is essential. Please contact jean.cuthbertson@cimaglobal.com to attend.
