Kathryn has recently returned from a six month sabbatical at the Mayo Clinic. This talk provides an overview of her work in the area of customer centric product innovation.  She examines the health care ecosystem through fresh eyes and aims to see if systems engineering methods and tools can be applied to this domain. The output of this talk is to explore new ideas, seek new connections and start a new conversation.

Kathryn Cormican (Ph.D.) lectures in the College of Engineering & Informatics at the National University of Ireland Galway. She leads research in the area of technology innovation management. This is an applied research area so it is essential to work closely with industry to identify and prioritize requirements, co-develop solutions and ecosystems and validate and implement new models and systems. The research area is multidisciplinary in nature and spans areas such as engineering, technology and business.
