Project Portfolio Management: Why it Matters for Organisations

Martin Butler has 15 years of experience successfully leading ICT and technology-intrinsic business projects in South Africa and internationally.

He is currently Programme Director of the MBA programme at Stellenbosch University Business School (USB) and a Research Associate at the Institute for Future Studies, South Africa. His research focuses on how PPM can assist organisations to align technology-intrinsic projects with strategic intent. Martin lectures in project, innovation and technology management and is a visiting lecturer in Europe and Asia. Martin holds a BSc. Electronic Engineering from the University of Pretoria and an MBA with specialization in project management from USB.

Authentic Collaborative Project Management

Paul Johnson has 15 years of experience successfully leading electronic engineering and electronic banking projects in Ireland and the UK. He has worked in the biomedical, water and banking industries.

He is currently a PM and Process development consultant in the data centre power management industry. He is also Director of Cadsolution Projects Ltd, Co Clare providing PM consultancy to industry. Paul extensively uses creative mind techniques, the use of cloud based collaborative tools, such as Smartsheet and how they benefit the modern workplace in house and on the move using mobile tech. Paul holds a degree in Electronic Design & Development Electronics from DKIT, and PMP qualification.
