Event Navigation

The issue of migration has captured headlines in recent years. With the civil war in Syria and the civil unrest in North Africa continuing, many have fled to Europe seeking refuge. While not much is known about the new wave of refugees, data collected among settled immigrants can shed a light on the future of the newcomers to Europe. Based on data collected in the Health Behaviours in School-Aged Children study, this seminar will present the knowledge that has been accumulating about school-going immigrant children in Europe, both first and second generation. The presentation will focus on prevalence, risks and resilience factors among immigrant children in Europe.

This seminar is one of a series of seminars in the 2016 Whitaker Ideas ForumDr Molcho will be representing the Population and Migration Research Cluster.
