October 3 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Speaker(s): Dr Murat Aymelek
Affiliation: Socio-Economic Marine Research Unit (SEMRU)
Organised by: Whitaker Institute
This research develops a non-cooperative Cournot-Nash static game framework to analyze the shipping alliance competition on a particular liner shipping service loop, port competition with shared hinterland, and a bunkering supply competition within a certain geographical region. The study covers both perfect and imperfect competition scenarios. Socio-economic consequences and influences of these competitions are also discussed in details.
This seminar is one of a series of seminars in the Whitaker Ideas Forum seminar series. Murat will be representing SEMRU.
