Lean Innovation Summit

Lero recently facilitated four days of seminars and workshops on Lean Product Development with Don Reinertsen in Dublin and Galway. Don is President of Reinertsen & Associates, and the author of three best-selling books on product development. The events are an integral part of a Lero-led research initiative that focuses on the flow of value in software development practices. A number of project partners from industry participated in the events which are being funded by Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) and Lero as part the Agile and Lean Project Management and Scaling (ALPS) programme. The seminars and workshops introduced participants to the science and some of the practical methods of second generation Lean Product Development such as economic models, queue management, batch size reduction, WIP constraints, and cadence.   Don Reinertsen, President of Reinertsen & Associates, discussed Second Generation Lean Product Development at a public seminar at the Institute for Lifecourse and Society Building on Friday 18th September.
