ISSP Doctoral Colloquium

You are invited to attend the Irish Social Sciences Platform Doctoral Student Colloquium on Thursday 13 October on the ground floor of the J.E. Cairns School of Business and Economics.

The Colloquium will take the form of a poster session, with 21 research posters by students from NUI Galway and the University of Limerick on display from Wednesday 12 – Friday 14 October. The students that are participating will be available beside their poster on Thursday 13 October from 3.15pm – 4.00pm to take questions on their research. There will also be a book of abstracts available on the day, or you can download a copy at the link below . There is a bursary prize for the top three posters, which will be presented to the winning students on Thursday.

All PhD students are invited to attend a talk by Professor Chris Curtin entitled “Finishing your PhD and beyond” in the SAC Room (Room 110, Cairnes Building / St. Anthony’s) room at 2.00pm on Thursday 13 October. Tea and coffee will be available in Friars from 2.45pm – 3.15pm.

– Wed 12 – Fri 14 Oct: Posters by 21 ISSP Doctoral Students on display, Ground Floor, Cairnes Building.

Thursday 13 October:
– 2.00pm: Professor Chris Curtin, “Finishing your PhD and beyond”, SAC Room (Room 110, Cairnes Building / St. Anthony’s)
– 2.45pm: Tea / coffee in Friar’s Restaurant
– 3.15pm: Students available beside their poster to answer questions relating to their research
